The Italian championships are getting closer and so event coordinator, Alberto Castagna, decided to organise a training day at Cornizzolo.
The weather looked promising for Sunday the 10th of April so the event was confirmed. Pilots from several parts of northern Italy arrived – well known names such as Donini, Littamè, Biasi and other high level pilots.
The day before the event it rained so it took time to dry out and warm up the ground before cloud base became interesting. This meant plenty of time for everyone on take-off – a perfect opportunity to meet and learn from top pilots.
At the briefing they chose the classic route known as "il Catino" (the basin) – Brunate, Roncola and some flatland from Colle Brianza up to Monguzzo before returning to the Cornizzolo landing. So, full-speed across the slopes and then a technical part over the flatland.
All in all it’s been a beautiful competition with very good thermal conditions. This meant a great workout for the pilots who will soon return to Cornizzolo for the Italian Championships.
